1. Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the ResistorGo application ("the App"), published by setghm ("we", "us", or "our"), and available on Android via Google Play, on Windows via the Microsoft Store, on Linux via the Snap Store, and as a companion static web page.

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All computation runs locally on your device using data bundled within the App. No user accounts, no registration, and no backend server are involved. The App does not use Artificial Intelligence technologies.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information through the App, including but not limited to:

Certain platform-level services (Google Play, the Microsoft Store, the Snap Store, and Firebase Hosting) may independently collect technical or diagnostic data. We do not have access to that data in a personally identifiable form. See Section 4 for details.

3. Platform Details

Android — Google Play

The Android version of the App does not collect or transmit any personal data. In-app purchases for the full version are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store any payment or personal information from these transactions.

Windows — Microsoft Store

The Windows version of the App does not collect or transmit any personal data, and does not access personal files or monitor user activity. The full version is unlocked through Microsoft's standard trial and paid-upgrade mechanism. We do not receive or process any payment information.

Linux — Snap Store

The Linux version of the App does not collect or transmit any personal data. All features are available at no charge and no purchase flow or billing service is involved. The Snap Store may independently collect usage or diagnostic data as part of its platform; this is governed by Canonical's own privacy policy and is not accessible to us.

Web — Companion Static Page

The companion web page is hosted as a static site on Firebase Hosting. It has no backend, no database, and requires no login or account. Firebase Hosting may automatically record standard server access logs (such as IP addresses and request timestamps) as part of its infrastructure. This data is collected by Google under their own terms and is not accessible to us in a personally identifiable form. We do not add any analytics, tracking pixels, or cookies to the web page.

4. Third-Party Services

The following third-party services are involved in the distribution or hosting of the App. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

The App does not share any user data with third parties.

5. Sharing Results and Deep Links

The App lets you share calculated results by generating a link. Results are encoded directly in the URL — no data is sent to or stored on any server. The App is also registered to open links associated with our domain and the custom URI scheme resistorgo://, which is a standard platform mechanism that involves no data transmission to our servers.

When you share a link using your device's share sheet, the receiving app handles that content under its own privacy policy. We have no control over third-party apps you choose to share with.

6. Local Data Storage

The App may store data locally on your device using standard operating system mechanisms — for example, to remember preferences or the purchase state of the full version. This data remains entirely on your device, is never transmitted to us or any third party, and can be removed by uninstalling the App.

7. Data Retention

We retain no user data, as none is collected. If you believe any personal information has been collected in connection with the App and wish to have it addressed, please contact us at contact@setghm.com.

8. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected at all, the App is suitable for use by all ages. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at contact@setghm.com.

9. Security

Since the App does not collect or store personal data on our end, there is no personal information at risk from our side. Any data stored locally on your device remains under your control and is protected by your device's own security mechanisms.

10. Your Rights and Opt-Out

Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to provide, rectify, or delete on your behalf. You retain full control over any locally stored data by uninstalling the App through the standard processes provided by your device or marketplace.

For data that Google, Microsoft, Canonical, or Firebase may have independently collected, please refer to their respective privacy policies and contact them directly.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. When changes are made, the Effective Date at the top of this page will be updated. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. The current version of this policy is always available at the URL provided in the Google Play, Microsoft Store, and Snap Store listings.
